The Powell Rice Box comes with everything you need to perform this incredible stunner; handkerchief, burlap bag and even a bag of Rice!
This is one of the finest pieces of magic that we have seen in a while. The craftsmanship is unbelievable. Dave Powell has basically done for the Lippincott Box what Chris Smith did for Exploding Lightbulb (
The performer places a wine glass on the table and borrows a ring from any spectator. The ring is placed in the folds of a handkerchief and given to the spectator to hold over the mouth of the wine glass. They can actually feel the ring through the handkerchief.
The performer presents a small locked wooden box and sets it in full view of the audience. The spectator is asked to drop the ring into the glass. The spectator lets go of the ring and it is heard as it clinks into the glass.
This is beautiful setup, folks!
The performer immediately whisks away the handkerchief from the glass and the ring has vanished! The spectator is handed a key to open the box, from which rice overflows as the lid is lifted.
The rice is poured out to reveal the ring inside the box! If you know how the Lippincott Box works, then you are just as baffled as the audience!
• A unique & unforgettable demonstration!
• Powell quality, handcrafted walnut box!
• Secret hidden from keen inspection!
• Borrowed ring buried within the rice!
The Powell Rice Box is hand-crafted from fine walnut, measuring approximately 2.25 inches square. The inlay hides the secret even upon close inspection from magicians. Features a custom maple and mahogany wrap with a maple burl inside the lid.
Perfect size for a display of overflowing rice as the box is opened by the spectator. The Powell Rice Box includes a burlap bag with hand painted "good luck" symbol. Cast and polished pewter feet complete the design. A very special routine, closeup or stage!
