Way back in 2007 Magic Broadcast ran a contest that included over $6,000.00 in Prizes! Sponsors included: Hocus Pocus, Magic City, Grand Illusions, Magic Depot, When you Wish Magic, Nathan Kranzo and editor, Magi-Ken.
The object of the contest was to come up with original routine(s) with the theme "Message Magic". All entries would present a trick or series of tricks with a routine that conveys a positive and truthful message about a value, concept, moral, religious teaching, product/service, or which warns against some danger the audience can choose to avoid.
Magi-Ken Morrison, general contributing editor:
with original routines by:
• John Teo --from Singapore
• Kevin Manning --from Pennsylvania
• Kif Anderson --from California
• Jim Kleefeld --from Ohio
• Rob Tarry --from New York
• Mark Crabtree --from Virginia
• Dr. Fred Reisz, Ph.D. --from South Carolina
• and Ken Morrison --from Michigan
After a few hundred entries were weeded out for content and rules, the rest were judged and the winning entries are now here in this book in the order of rank in which they won.
